JOB SPECIFICATIONS

                Required:

• 3+ years experience working in an aircraft maintenance environment as aircraft technician or an A&P license
• Ability to communicate and resolve issues or problems
• Knowledge and experience in the ground operation of jet powered aircraft
• Experience in the operation of typical business jet systems
• Experience in conducting annual or progressive inspection operations
• Experience in conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Ability to work to meet time schedules established for delivering customer aircraft
• Assuring that shop equipment and tools used are in a serviceable working condition, and that required checks and calibrations have been accomplished on special tools and test equipment prior to use.
• Ascertaining that necessary maintenance entries on maintenance forms and work orders for the assigned work function have been properly executed
• Maintaining the premises of the repair station in a clean and orderly manner
• Maintaining high quality work in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations
• Observing the safety precautions relevant to any operation in the maintenance department
• Always using required technical data (in accordance with the latest revisions) on all aircraft, engines, and appliances, for the maintenance accomplished. The data will include manufactures’ maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins, parts specifications, related Federal Aviation Administration approved data, and any other technical data available through the repair station
• Assuring the proper handling of all parts while in the repair process and when the work is completed
• Maintaining the preservation of all units or parts during the work process, installation, and storage
• Be able to understand, read and write English

 

                Preferred:

• A&P License
• Familiar with the regulations in 14 CFR Part 145
• Sheet metal fabrication and repairs
• Use of reamers and reaming of close tolerance holes
• Basic knowledge of multimeters
• Fastener installations (rivets, hi-loks, huck bolts, close tolerance hardware)
• Aircraft movement and towing
• Fueling and defueling operations
• Machine shop tool experience (drill press, band saw, sander, lathe, brake, shear, etc.)

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS

• Lifting, up to 50lbs
• Repetitive motion of all extremities
• Climbing in and out of aircraft
• Climbing up and down on ladders and maintenance stands

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Employee will need to work near moving mechanical parts and in loud working conditions. Working Conditions will be both in climate controlled environments, as well as in the natural elements, as the nature of the position dictates that some of the activities associated with this position will be performed both inside and outside of a controlled structure.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly expected to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, twist and kneel. There is repetitive motion to this position of all extremities. The employee must be able to move up to and in excess of 50 pounds safely with and without the assistance of machinery as required, climb in and out of aircraft as well as climbing up and down ladders and maintenance stands.

• 14 CFR Part 23 Certification
• RTCA DO-160 Qualification
• Project and team leadership
• Subcontract technical management
• Electrical and systems design and certification
• Power generation and distribution design and certification
• Avionics and electrical systems test and integration
• HIRF/Lightning/EMI design, testing, and certification
• BSEE (May be waived in consideration of relevant professional experience)
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving capabilities

 Preferred:

• Relevant EA500 experience preferred
• FAA DER Appointments in Lightning/HIRF protection, EMI, Software, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Review First Article Inspection (FAI) reports from suppliers.
• Work cross functionally with EAI engineering, supply chain, quality organizations to ensure that the supplier understands and can comply with the technical, capacity, quality  and FAA imposed requirements
• Review and direct the supplier’s manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to ensure the supplier’s product conforms to all of the requirements
• Direct the supplier in continuing performance improvement programs
• Evaluation and surveillance of supplier processes
• Coordination of quality requirements between EAI and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier-related nonconformities and noncompliances
• Resolve technical, manufacturing, quality issues with the supplier and coordinate such with the appropriate EAI organizations
• Require and enforce corrective action by suppliers
• Participate with the supplier in design for manufacturing reviews and represent supplier’s input within EAI to ensure optimal design for manufacturing solutions
• Perform Run at Rate, capacity analysis
• Perform First Article Inspection and ongoing product inspections
• Participate with Supply Chain in supplier contract review and contract administration for those areas regarding supplier quality
• Resolve supplier quality issues, working cross functionally as required
• Travel to supplier and sub-tier supplier locations as required
• Assist with the qualification and approval of new suppliers and maintain a list of approved suppliers 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required:

• Aerospace Quality Assurance experience, at least 5 years of which were in a Quality Engineering/Auditing capacity.  Candidate should have experience in areas related to quality systems management, material review, corrective action, and project management. 
• Experience using statistical inspection and auditing methods.
• Responsible for helping to develop the Supplier Quality Assurance program and to make sure the best suppliers are in place to drive the best quality products and practices. 
• Knowledgeable in FAR part 21.33, 8110.4, 8120.2, 8100.7 requirements and orders

Preferred

• Training and/or experience in team building and continuous improvement processes (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Engineering degree
• ASQ Certifications in the areas of Auditing, Quality Engineer, Quality Process
